| Description | ME-S408 spray adjuvant is a superspreading surfactant based on a trisiloxane ethoxylate. ME-S408 spray adjuvant lowers the surface tension of spray solutions, beyond that which is achievable with conventional adjuvants. ME-S408 spray adjuvant helps lower the aqueous surface tension more effectively than conven tional spray adjuvants. |

| Mode of action | Typically, ME-S408 spray adjuvant (@ 0.1 wt %) gives an aqueous surface tension of <22 mN/m. On the other hand, an octylphenol ethoxylate containing 10 EO units (a commonly used nonionic surfactant) at 1.0 wt % gives a surface tension of only 30 mN/m. ME-S408 breaks down the surface tension of the water. ME-S408 works on the surface of the water droplet to reduce its tendency to bead up by pulling the water and the wax on the leaf surface together, thus, reducing the water’s surface tension and causing the water droplet to spread out. ME-S408 reduces the surface tension of a spray solution in order to allow a more intimate contact between spray droplet and plant surface. |
| Application | ME-S408 Trisiloxane Ethoxylate Silicone Super Spreader & Adjuvant helps to reduce the contact angle of spray solutions on leaf surfaces, leading to an increase in spray coverage. Under specific conditions, ME-S408 spray adjuvant promotes rapid uptake of agrochemicals into plants via stomatal infiltration. Spray solutions taken into plants in this way become rainfast, thereby improving application reliability. |

By making water wetter, ME-S408 helps water penetrate these soils more easily and get on with the job for which it is intended. Because of the faster soil penetration, there is less run of less wasted water. 5. ME-S408 prevents the spray pumps to get clogged and cleans the pipes and tanks. 6. Helps keep pesticides in suspension. Often the pesticide may not mix really well with water and separates rather quickly. When ME-S408 is added to the pesticide solution according to the directions, it helps keep pesticides dispersed so that separation problems are greatly reduced or eliminated entirely. 7. It has no residue left and is bio degradable hence ME-S408 is environment friendly and not harmful for animals, birds or human. 8. ME-S408 is non-corrosive to equipment. 9. ME-S408 Acts as an Activator adjuvant and increases absorption of the insecticide, herbicide by a direct interaction with the plant cuticle. 10. ME-S408 significantly promotes the uptake of chemicals rapidly. 11. ME-S408 prevents crystallization of the active ingredient on the leaf surface by being a solvent. |
| Compatibility | ME-S408 Silicone Technical Grade Super Spreader & Adjuvant is compatible with a wide array of agricultural fertilizers, insecticides, defoliators, herbicides, foliar micro-nutrients, PGR and pesticides. It is recommended to do a small jar test before preparing a full tank mix. Also check the compatibility of the other chemical before mixing. |
| Crops | Recommended: Cotton, citrus, paddy, pepper, tomato, flowers, vegetables, onion, melons, cucurbits, capsicum, potato, peanuts, soybean, maize, wheat, garlic, ginger, radish, carrot, okra, cauliflower, brinjal etc. It is also suitable for all other types of crops, millets, cereals, pulses, fruits, spices, medicinal crops, aromatic crops, orchards and ornamentals. |
| Doses | Foliar Application:
With HERBICIDES: 0.025% to 0.15%. With INSECTICIDES, FUNGICIDES, and PESTICIDES: 0.025% to 0.1%. For IRRIGATION: Wet the ground with a solution of 10-15 ml of ME-S408 in at least 100 liters of water / acre prior to irrigation. For spray irrigation, may be injected into the spray equipment during initial phase. |

| Precautions | Note: Keep from reach of children and pets.
Wear protective clothing, boots, rubber gloves and respiratory masks according to the toxicity of chemicals. IF IN EYES: Rinse with plenty of water for 15 min seek medical attention, if necessary. IF ON SKIN: Can be removed by water wash or water and soap. IF INHALED: Remove to fresh air. Get medical attention if ill effects persist. IF SWALLOWED: Call poison control center or doctor immediately for treatment advice. Have person sip a glass of water if able to swallow. Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by the poison control center or doctor. |
